BREAST OF SHOW
Janet Jackson’s famous wardrobe malfunction has come back to haunt broadcasters. Due to the uproar caused by the incident, a special committee in the House of Representatives has approved a bill to increase indecency fines against TV and Radio stations found guilty of improper broadcasts 15 times over, to a whopping $500,000 per infraction.
Stations could lose their FCC license if they violate indecency laws more than three times and individual performers could also face fines.
The suggestion of strengthening laws may have led to the decision by Super Bowl officials to put 62-year-old Sir Paul McCartney in the limelight this year, ending any fear of faux pas flashing.

MOTLEY MONEY
Robin Mantooth claims Mick Mars of Motley Crue owes her ten million dollars. Mantooth, the longtime girlfriend of the rocker claims Mars promised to provide for her financially in the event of a split. The split occurred in December and Mantooth hasn’t seen a dime. Meanwhile Mars denies any agreement ever existed. Motley Crue recently reunited and are embarking on their first tour in five years.

QUEEN HONORS WHO?
Not Queen as in the group…Queen as in The. Britain’s Queen Elizabeth named Roger Daltry a Commander of the Order of the British Empire. The award is for Daltry’s services to music, the entertainment industry, and charity. Amazed by the honor, Daltry said he didn’t realize the Queen was a fan of Rock n Roll adding, “She`d probably fall off her podium if she heard The Who`s songs. A good blast of `My Generation` would go down quite well now."

SERIOUS ABOUT APPLE
Sirius Satellite Radio execs have popped the question to Apple Computer but the answer was no. Desiring a leg up on the competition, Sirius had hoped Apple might bite on a merge, offering the Sirius system on popular I-Pod players.
